MSA is proud to announce the appointment of Ron Davis, Ed.D., assistant superintendent of secondary education for the Mt. Lebanon School District in Mt. Lebanon, Pa., as a commissioner.
Davis is one of six commissioners recently appointed to MSA-CESS.
“I am pleased to welcome Dr. Davis to the Commissions,” said Lisa Marie McCauley, Ed.D., president of the MSA-CESS. “He is a well-respected accreditation team leader, who serves as a mentor to other school leaders and shares a commitment to improving education throughout the world.”
Prior to his current position, Davis served as Mt. Lebanon High School principal from 2007 to 2011. Davis began his career as a teacher, coach and as an athletic director for a large urban high school in south Florida. He also served as a principal in the Gateway Regional School District in southern New Jersey.
Davis earned his Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education and a Master of Arts
degree in counseling and educational psychology from Slippery Rock University of
Pennsylvania. In 1999, his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership was confirmed from Nova
Southeastern University.
Davis has remained involved at the post-secondary level since 2000 as an online instructor, student teacher/principal intern supervisor, aspiring principal mentor, and dissertation committee member/chair. His involvement has been with the University of Phoenix Online, Masters of Education, University of Pennsylvania’s Educational Leadership Program for Aspiring Principals, and Point Park University.
