Welcome to the start of a new academic year!
Just as you are making the transition back to the classroom, we here at the Middle States Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools are experiencing a transition of our own.
I am excited to introduce myself as the new president of MSA-CESS and am honored to lead such an esteemed organization with a proven history of helping schools and students grow and improve.
For over 130 years, Middle States has been helping school leaders establish and reach their goals, develop strategic plans, promote staff development and advance student achievement.
I am proud to be part of that legacy and am looking forward to working with you to meet the challenges of improving education in the 21st century.
With our new strategic plan in place, the Middle States team has reaffirmed its commitment to providing an accreditation process that respects the differences among our member schools and recognizes there is no one-size-fits-all approach.
We have also recommitted to our belief in the power of peer review.
Peer review has been a fundamental part of Middle States accreditation throughout our history and is one of the most valuable and professionally rewarding steps in the accreditation process.
Thank you to all of our volunteers and staff members who serve on our peer review teams and to all of you who share a passion for making a difference for schools and students across the globe.
As the year progresses, I look forward to visiting many of our member schools and talking with school leaders about how Middle States can further meet your accreditation needs.
I also welcome you to contact me directly at lmmccauley@msa-cess.org or 267.284.5044. with any questions or concerns.
Let’s have a great year together!
Sincerely,
Lisa Marie McCauley, Ed.D., CPA,
President
