Ted Beal Jr., Axa Executive, Appointed As Middle States Commissioner

We are happy to announce the appointment of Ted Beal Jr., executive vice president of AXA and managing director for AXA’s Retirement Benefits Group in Edison, N.J., as a new Commissioner.

In his role with AXA, a financial services company, Beal and his team work with more than one million public school employees nationwide to manage their retirement portfolios. His group has also awarded more than $1.3 million in student scholarships. Beal earned his bachelor’s degree from Elon University in Elon, N.C., and resides in New Jersey.

As a financial professional, he brings a fiscal understanding of the educators and educational organizations. His knowledge helps guide the financial needs of our members.

“In his role at AXA, Ted has been providing financial education on retirement to teachers and staff in schools, nonprofits and other community-based organizations,” said Lisa Marie McCauley, Ed.D., president of the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools. “His interest in and experience working with the education community will help to inform his role as Commissioner.”
